The girls’ varsity team won their Mac Gold Division for the first time in six years. The ladies finished the season 15-3 and moved on to the district playoffs with one game left, the ladies’ senior night. “Winning the division was well deserved as we worked so hard for it,” Keyonna Scorpio said. 

The Panthers played Harper Woods for their senior night with parents proud and the ladies nervous and excited, the gym filled with all types of emotions. But unfortunately for the six seniors, the game was cancelled due to non-sportsmanship actions during the junior varsity game. Still honoring our seniors as they say their final byes before districts. “It’s so exciting and I’m proud of the girls,” Dionni John said. “Well deserved and so happy for the girls it’s been a long season” Melissa Kirkendolph said. Finishing strong, everyone can’t wait to see how the girls are going to do in the districts, starting Wednesday, March 5 versus Warren Woods Tower.
