On Oct. 9, Link Crew hosted the freshman tailgate in the cafeteria. Freshmen flocked to the pizza table to grab a bite and share some jokes with friends. Link leaders and ninth graders could also be seen playing Uno, oversized Connect 4, as well as Just Dance. No matter where you looked, you could see smiles and camaraderie.
“It was a surprising turnout for how many freshmen showed up and how well it went,” Vice President Korbin Williams said.
“My favorite part of the tailgate was getting to hang out with my friend and having fun,” freshman Kara Grifford said.
The tailgate was an overall success. Once 6 p.m. rolled around, it was time to head to the football game. There, freshmen sat with friends and ate popcorn along with the Link Crew group.
