Roseville’s Unified Basketball team got the chance to visit The Michigan State capital for Special Olympics Advocacy Day and share why inclusion matters in a school setting.
During their trip, these student-athletes were able to talk to lawmakers about their experiences making friendships and helping make the school more welcoming for everyone. They talked about how the program brings kids together and helps create a positive environment for them.
The visit was a great way for students to speak up about something important and so close to their hearts. This trip showed them how small acts of kindness and inclusiveness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
