On Saturday, Jan.18, the Detroit Lions have a big NFC Divisional playoff game against the Washington Commanders. The Lions had a first-round bye in the playoffs because they were the number one seed in the NFC and won the division title. For the second year in a row, the lions have been successful under head coach Dan Campbell. with key players like Jahmyr Gibbs and Jared Goff.
Running back Gibbs has a total of 439 rushing yards, 235 receiving yards, six rushing touchdowns, and three receiving touchdowns in the last five games. Gibbs has been helping the Lions with all of the big numbers he has been putting up the whole season. This is only Gibbs’ third season on the Lions. Gibbs is key to the team and is going to lead the Lions to the Super Bowl if he keeps this running game up. Saturday’s game Gibbs is going for 3 touchdowns plus.
Another key player is Quarterback Jared Goff. Goff has taken the leader role by leading the team to a 15-2 record with an amazing 4,629 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns, and a 72.4% completion rate. Goff is only in his third season, and he has already helped break multiple franchise records. Such as most wins in a season, Most points in a season, longest winning streak, and many more. Goff plans to lead the lions to the super bowl for the first time in the team’s history. With the city of Detroit rallying behind them with all of their support, I think they can get the job done. Tune in to see if the Lions defeat their opponent with that being said, GO LIONS!
