Everyone has their own unique stories to tell, and when somebody asks me what my story is I get a skip in my heart full of enjoyment to tell others what I dream for my future. Moving on after high school has my stomach in knots, graduating this year has made me feel even more excited for what’s next to come.
I remember when I first started high school as a freshman, I was nervous. I thought these four years would take forever, like I had so much time left. High school goes faster than you think, like a blink of an eye parents say. I never believed anyone when they said it was going to go as fast, now as a senior looking back it really did. I wish I could go back in time and be that shy freshman worrying about nothing. The real world is full of many different things, that can build you, shape you and teach you life lessons.
I’d like to give the underclassmen a piece of advice, always have a plan. Setting goals for your future is a powerful way to shape your life and career paths. Stay focus for what’s ahead, keep your mind focused.
One inspiring path of mine that I would like to share is to become a Homicide detective. I want to attend college for 6 years to receive a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement. I see myself solving cases, making a difference and most importantly bringing justice and peace to the people. Life is full of journeys, I’m excited for what’s to come for myself and the rest of the class. Nevertheless, never be afraid to try new things and do what you want to do. There is so much better to come, and my chapter starts now.
