Thursday, Sept 20, the girls swim team went up against Warren Woods Tower (WWT) for their second meet of the season. The final score was 87-82. This is a huge accomplishment because WWT is a division above the team, and even with having a diver, the girls still won. The meet started out with the A team getting second in the 200 medley relay. An astounding game had taken place Sunday, Sep. 23 on Ford Field. The Detroit Lions had taken on the New England Patriots in the 47th game of the 2018-2019 NFL season. Lions fans were amazed at the final score being 10-26 with the Lions winning. The Patriots have a reputation of being a tough team to beat; with making it all the way to the 2018 Super Bowl. Varsity soccer team play a vigorous game

On Wednesday, Sept. 19, the varsity boys soccer team played a home game facing Warren Woods Tower. Despite the vigorous effort they put in, the Panthers were not able to bring it home. The game ended in defeat, with a score of 4-1 and a win for  Warren Woods Tower. Including this game, the boys have won three games, lost four, and tied for two. During the first half, the team struggled, ending the period with no points on the board. The girls varsity volleyball team aced their game on Tuesday, Sept 17 against Cousino, winning three sets in a row. Altogether, the girls got 31 kills and 72 digs with seven aces, putting their overall score 3-2.

The Panthers dominated the team with a final score of 42-19.   Junior Daivon Lowman had 265 rushing yards in this game, while also being in the competition for the offensive player of the week by the Detroit Free Press. Friday, Sept 7, the Panthers matched up against the Cousino Patriots coming out with a victory of 40-26, channel 95.5 made an appearance and covered the game. The student section hyped up the team by having a luau theme while singing and dancing. Thursday, Aug 23, the football team started off their season with a victory. Up against Delta Prep, the team won 18-6. Junior D’lano Fordham had the only interception in the game.       On Friday, Oct. 27 the cross country team ran their last meet of the season.       The boys varsity cross country squad had a great season. Dylan Johnson, Ryan Charles, Alontae Granville, Bryce Hughes, Cameron Newman, and Brian Nankervis all ran an impressive time as they concluded in the final race of the season. The annual powder puff game was held at Bob Eineichner memorial football field at 6:30 p.m. During the game the juniors won against the seniors, 14 to 12. The girls in the game played hard to take the win. Both teams put forth effort in the game that day. To kick off the game the seniors won the coin toss defending first.
