Fall sports kick off at RHS

Paige Guinn, Managing Editor

Even though the 2021-2022 school year is finally over, our fall athletes have just started working hard to prepare for their upcoming fall seasons. These athletes take the summer to condition and practice before their official competition starts.

The Varsity cheer team has been conditioning for a few weeks now. Last week they held tryouts and they have their final JV and varsity rosters.

Our RHS volleyball program holds skill training practices every Monday and Thursday in the main gym. Athletes from all grades and skill levels come to work out and improve their skills before tryouts. Contact varsity head coach Nicole Golden for more information “Starting the season off is always bumpy, but I love seeing everyone’s improvements during summer conditioning,” incoming senior Genisus Reed said.

Lastly, our football program has been holding workouts and conditioning practices outside on the new football field. The boys have been practicing hard to get ready for the first home game against Dearborn Crestwood.

RHS is always a fun place to be during the fall, especially for home sporting events. Our coaches and athletes are excited to get the ball rolling.
