The boys varsity Panthers are off to a hot start coming off their second game of the season winning against Eisenhower High School with a high scoring game of 70-54 and also beating L’Anse Creuse High School 85-60. The Panthers just had their home season opener beating the Lancers defending their home court and advancing their record to 2-0. They will take on Stevenson High School this Tuesday on the road.
Junior Ryan Davis was the highlight player of the game. Davis had an amazing stat line totaling nine points, seven steals, four rebounds, and two assists. “I felt hype and ready to compete with my brothers especially from the energy from the student section,” Davis said.
The team’s goal for this year is to have a winning season, win their district, and the ultimate goal is to make it to East Lansing for the Divison-2 State championship. The Panthers believe they are the underdogs, so the team is ready to prove everyone wrong while RHS cheers them on all season.
