He later, after lunch, went on to match play against Cameron Fredenis from Lakeview High School. He was then knocked out and his day ended with his coach Joshua Rolder next to him. “The kids that want it, show everyday why they want to be here. It is good to see how in just a short time, they are able to be successful out on the lanes, “Rolder said.
Saturday January 13, the varsity boys went back up to 5 Star Lanes with the varsity girls to bowl in the varsity team tournament. After 14 Baker games both teams made the cut but were knocked out in the first round. The girls took 10th place after qualifying and were knocked out by the Warren Woods Tower ladies. “Although we didn’t win, we were really happy and had a great time and that’s the most important part of bowling” junior Brooklyn Plott said. Both teams bowled well but their time was cut short, and they went home, and the girls prepared for the next day.

Rolder placed third and won her first match by 61 pins against Avery Koebke from Lakeshore, and lost the second round by 16 pins against Grace Polega from Henry Ford ll. “Over the last three years of bowling I’ve learned that it doesn’t come easy. it takes a lot of time and focusing to get it right. If I didn’t have the coaches that have been by my side through it all I wouldn’t be where I am today. Mac County’s was a huge tournament for me and a great learning experience after all,” Rolder said. The girls couldn’t have done it without their coach Jim Miller this year. “The girls have been putting in hard work at practices and it has shown during meets and tournaments. I was so proud of the girls At the macomb county tournament,” Miller said.
