Thursday Dec. 7 was the annual Roseville Tree Lighting Ceremony, a tradition for the community. There was a big gathering when Santa and the elves arrived. Hot coco and hot apple cider were provided. The RHS choir sang Christmas carols that put big smiles on people’s faces.
“It was fun and a wonderful experience. My favorite part was the community coming together for the event as one. I think everyone enjoyed themselves though,” junior Madelena Rose said, who also sang with the choir.
Another choir member also had her take on the evening. “It was a wonderful experience. It was very new and fun. I would most definitely do it again. My favorite part was getting on stage with the mayor of Roseville. That made me feel so important. I would like to add the band for more effect,” junior Angelika Lipinski said.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and everyone enjoyed themselves. The kids of the community seemed like they had a wonderful time. They even got to ride in the sleigh with Santa.
