Annie (sophomore Savanna Kraft) is about an orphan girl who is put into an orphanage that is run by the wicked “Miss. On Thursday Dec. 5, varsity band, jazz band, marching band, and choir all took part in the annual holiday concert. The choir sang songs like “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Mary Did You Know,” and  “Carol Of The Bells.” After the choir finished their first songs, Mr. Daniel Chesher welcomed everyone, along with welcoming the marching band, who had a surprise entrance and made their way to the front of the auditorium. On March 20, RHS hosted the annual eighth grade welcome night. Families of incoming freshman were able to get a tour of the building and see examples of what exactly will be covered in classes. Tours were lead by both staff members and students, and covered each of the academic departments that we offer classes in. Clubs and organizations were also covered, and catered to each individual student. Boys basketball team defeats Fraser to become district champions

On Friday, Mar. 1, the boys defeated the Fraser Ramblers to become back to back district champions with a final score of 62-32. The boys dominated the game by maintaining a lead against the Ramblers throughout every quarter. Senior Darrien Banks had an amazing game with a total of 14 points and two steals. After losing the MAC championship, the boys conquered all three rounds of the district tournaments. The 2018 boys’ varsity basketball season had started with a bang at the scrimmage against Walled Lake Northern high school. Not only was the game full of excitement, but many players got to show what they were made of. The final score was 65- 44, a panther’s win. Both teams had shown immense effort in this game, pushing the limits and working as hard as they can. Quiz Bowl has had an outstanding season, including qualifying for the state competition, and still has more to come. Quiz Bowl is a club all about playing trivia,  led by Brian King who has been running Quiz Bowl for five years now and has had a ton of success with the club. The club gets together every Monday and have meets on Wednesdays. Sophomore Dua Yang joined Quiz Bowl this year because she was looking for a way to get more involved in school. “I think the best part about the club is joking around about the questions,” Yang said. Recently, students Kyle Rumer, Phillip Longueuil, Gino Reinke, Shungloon Wong, Brennan Coles and Red Lawson represented Roseville High School at the Science Olympiad competition. Science Olympiad is a competition at Macomb Community College in which students from different high schools and middle schools compete in different science-related events, including earth science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering. On Thursday Nov. 9, the RHS gaming club played a bracket-style tournament of a game called  Magic: The Gathering. Senior Brennan Coles came out as the champion out of ten players.   “I feel really good about winning because it shows I know what I’m doing when I play,” Coles said.   Magic: The Gathering is a game played with a deck of cards.       The newly formed LINK Crew threw a tailgate party right before the first home football game of the season, Friday, Sept. 15. The Board of Education held their annual leadership board meeting last night at RHS in the auditorium at 7 pm. To start off the night, drinks and refreshments were available to students and their families before the meeting started. The meeting that the B.O.E held first, was to decide who the delegate from the school board that would go vote at the MISD (Macomb Intermediate School District). After this meeting was held and nobody had any objections, the principal, Patrick Adams, took over and started to call up teachers that were the leader/sponsor of clubs or groups. Each teacher would call up the students that had a higher position or showed a leadership quality and they were given an award for it.
