Roseville High School is thrilled to finally start rehearsals for its upcoming winter theater production “Café Murder”, an interactive dinner theater production about a murder mystery. Audience members who purchase tickets get the opportunity to come to our cafeteria to sit down and enjoy dinner catered by our very own culinary class, all the while watching a beautiful and entertaining show by our Drama Society.
After an interesting round of auditions, sophomore Lee Elliot scored the role of Harris, the silly and witty detective of the cast. “Going into auditions, I was most anticipating to see the number of people interested. To my surprise, so many people auditioned we ended up double casting. I am forever grateful for everyone with a burning passion for theater, and of course Ms. Meade for making things so much more fun and welcoming for everyone,” Elliot said.
The talented cast had been waiting in anticipation for their first rehearsal, in which they were finally able to bring their characters to life as they came together for the first read through. The first rehearsal was filled with excitement and energy as they were able to explore the characters’ personalities. The chemistry between the cast is already so amazing, and they cannot wait to see what they can pull off.
The Drama Society promises this production to be an unforgettable experience, where the audience gets to finally become part of the story. “Café Murder” is already building up to be an extraordinary show you will not want to miss. With an intriguing storyline and unique element of audience interaction, it will be a wonderfully entertaining night of suspense and entertainment. They assure you that you will refuse to peel your eyes away from the performance and keep guessing until the very end. Prepare for an evening filled with mystery, excitement, and delicious food. It is going to be a fantastic experience!
