The 2024-2025 Quiz Bowl season kicked off this week. the team is coached by English teacher Jamie Saric and captained by senior Elizabeth Dunlap. Meets are held weekly at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights from 4-6 PM. At meets, two teams from different schools go head-to-head in a four round trivia competition. The season will continue through the rest of the year, ending in January. 

“I love being on our Quiz Bowl team, I’ve always loved trivia and Quiz Bowl was like the perfect way for me to be involved in a club. I’m also confident in our new members and underclassmen to keep the team strong after all of us seniors graduate,” Dunlap, the two-year captain, said. 

Saric has been coaching Quiz Bowl for two years at this point. “I’m excited about this season because of our new members, who bring a plethora of new knowledge and experience. Each person on the team has their own area of expertise, for example there’s one person who knows a ton about sports, one who knows animals and reptiles, and some who know a ton about band and music. Overall, I believe we have a very well-rounded team this year, and I’m super excited to see how we do,” Saric said.
