On Friday, Sept. 20, the senior class woke up just a bit earlier than normal to meet their friends on the football field to watch the sun rise hosted by the student assembly. “It felt bittersweet, being able to finally experience our senior sunset, but realizing that this is really my last year,” Daniel Duhaylonsod said. Before they were given red balloons to release, they were given time to eat donuts and socialize until their heart’s content
Once the sun started to rise, they gathered in the center of the field and started a countdown to release the balloons. “Release your balloons in 3…2…1.,” Student Assembly president Faith Tucker said as the balloons began to fly high in the sky. The students whipped out their phones to take videos and pictures, ready to start their senior year with a bang! There is so much more to come for their last year in Roseville schools. “It felt nice to see everyone come together and so happy to watch the sunrise early in the morning,” senior class vice president Brooklyn Plott said.
