Arghhh mateys! On October 11, students dressed as pirates or sailors showcasing the third day of spirit week, which is kicking off the start to Homecoming. The theme for this day of spirit week is Pirates vs Sailors.

Students and teachers were all dressed in pirate hats and eyepatches, and some even wore sailor hats. What a great way to show off the Homecoming spirit! Students and teachers had a great time dressing up today. English teacher Angela Houghton dressed as a pirate striking a pose for her picture, the majority of people participated in today’s spirit day showcasing their pirate or sailor outfits.

“I enjoyed spirit day today; my inner little kid self was very pleased” senior Rhiley Canada said.

“I never pass up an opportunity to dress like a pirate. Seeing other pirates in the halls made me feel more connected.” English teacher, Angela Houghton said.

Thursday’s theme for spirit week is Beach Day. We encourage all students to dress up for spirit week, students can get more into the school spirit, and they can also be in a good mood. Homecoming spirit week is all about dressing up and showing the most school spirit, we have some good spirit days coming up, the more participation the better the school spirit.
