Cause I got a golden ticket, I’ve got a golden tinkle in my eye. Doing anything in April? Well… if not, consider attending the Drama Society’s production of “Willy Wonka” at Roseville Middle School, on Apr. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, grab them while you can, only $12 currently and $15 at the door. The Drama Society mostly rehearses after school every day on weekdays and weekends, so pop in and see us rehearse for this production, the cast and crew cannot wait to see you all there.
Now, let us hear what some of the cast members say before the big production. “I think that everyone should get the chance to be in a production like this one. It is so fun,” freshman Kaylee Wiegand, who plays Ms. Teavee, said. Being in a production this big is really a big deal especially starting off as a freshman in high school. “I ended up being friends with people who I never thought I would interact with before,” junior Ray Bargo, who plays Mike Teavee, said. The cast makes me feel welcome in every way possible and they are always so positive, I can easily talk to them whenever I need someone to talk to. “The musical has been one of the best things to happen to me. I can creatively express myself in my character. I really feel like I have met my people. The entire cast is always so welcoming and supportive. Especially our amazing sponsor, Ms. Meade!” freshman Lee Elliott, who plays Mr. Bucket, said. Lastly, shoutout to our amazing directors Aubrey Meade and Miranda Marshall for making dreams happen, without their help there would not be a production this amazing.
