Starting in 2024, RHS revived an old club called the Roseville Youth Coalition, also referred to as “ROSE”. The club disbanded in 2020 due to Covid, but this year our restorative team, Devin Denryter and DeAuvia Rucker came together to bring the club back from its former glory.
ROSE is a club dedicated to impacting students and the community. Their goal is to improve mental health, build healthy habits, and create more culture around RHS. “Being able to give students the opportunity to use their voices is what we brought this club back for. This club allows students to use their skills and creativity to give back to the community in fun and interesting ways,” Denryter said.
The club’s president, Nhevan Canete, leads the group every other Monday when the group meets. “I joined the Roseville Youth Coalition because from my experience, in society today, many are scared to speak up about their struggles. This group encourages people to speak up about their problems and to provide help to those struggling with mental health issues and substance issues,” Canete said.
As this is, the group is getting off the ground; they are working on fundraising and getting funds to start doing activities and what they set out to do!
