Continuing the tradition, this month, the Math department nominated a student of the month for each grade!
Same as before, teacher Emily Collias and her Leadership class held a poll amongst the Math department and its teachers to nominate each grades student of the month. This recognizes students who may not normally be recognized and gives teachers a chance to recognize students who they feel are hardworking and dedicated.
The students that were nominated last month were freshman Corey Cotrell, sophomore Aaron Green, junior Madilyn Schodowski, and senior Ariana Partridge. Congratulations to these students for their accomplishment in being nominated for student of the month. “I think it’s going very well. It’s great that we do it once a month so that we can allow all departments to nominate students, so we hit a variety of skills and talents by our students, rather than just the same people all the time!” Collias said.
Having students of the month shows that teachers recognize you for more than just grades and encourages students to stand out and work hard.
