The Drama Society presented “Willy Wonka” on Apr. 19 and 20, this whole production was amazing. I am so very thankful for everyone that came out to support us and I am so very thankful for my amazing theatre crew. You all gave me something to look forward to after school and I am so extremely glad I was able to join this production. I am so sad to be leaving you all, but I am so excited to see what you decide to do for the musical next year. I always had a passion for theatre and when I saw that I was cast as one of the main leads in the musical, I knew that this production would be a hit. It is so sad that this production has come to an end, but it was fun while it lasted. It took us months to prepare for this musical and we absolutely crushed it out on the stage, to be able to be in a production this big is heartwarming. I made some amazing friends which I didn’t think I would ever talk to during this production. I am really going to miss this production, but that does not mean that I cannot still do theatre in college. I am so unbelievably honored to have played such a huge part in the musical as Mrs. Beauregarde.
This production really made my senior year one of my best years in high school, I am so extremely grateful and thankful that I joined this production during my senior year. I wish I had joined theatre earlier during freshman year so I could be in more productions like this, but nonetheless I am still honored that I even joined this production, and I cannot wait for the cast party. Thank you to my theatre crew for making my senior year the best year of my high school experience. I couldn’t thank you all enough for making this production such an amazing experience for me, this musical allowed me and my cast mates to grow as vocalists and artists. Aubrey Meade and Miranda Marshall really put their foot in this musical and for us to pull it off in just the span of two months is impressive, this musical really gave us a time to shine as vocalists and artists.
“It was an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything!” freshman Kaylee Wiegand said. It was quite an exhilarating experience to see us go from rehearsals to performing and putting on our musical on an amazing set. “The musical ended up being like a second family” freshman Kayla Fender said.
I am so thrilled that I got to be a part of this wonderful musical, especially since it’s my last one. I am so eager to see what the drama society will be able to pull off next year and I of course will be in the front row watching the great talent that comes from the Drama Society here at RHS.

I loved the performance. It was so put together so well and loved how well the students performed. It put a smile on my face all night.
