Excitement for this year’s Homecoming is brewing here at RHS with this year’s theme being Flower Garden. For a lot of our 2025 seniors this homecoming holds a special place, being the 100th graduating class. Leading up to this year’s homecoming, students have been showing a ton of school spirit! Homecoming themed shirts were made and are being sold throughout all lunches as well as the tickets. Homecoming court was finally announced at last week’s pep assembly, making it the first outside pep assembly we’ve had since 2021. Now we wait anxiously for Friday’s football game where the king and queen will be announced and crowned.
At this point many students have either gotten their dresses, suits, and even the proper attire for spirit week. “I’m buying all my clothes right now, and what I want to wear, what kind of car imma drive and just getting excited. I hope it doesn’t suck.” junior Dionni Johnson said.
As the next couple of days leading up to homecoming approach the excitement continues. “I’m looking forward to having fun with my friends and making memories for my junior year,” Lynda Dryman said. Homecoming season is always an amazing time here at RHS, creating memories and experiences. Now we patiently wait to do it again this weekend.
