The annual NHS tapping ceremony has come once again. Students who have applied to the organization were accepted Thursday, February 18. They were surprised in their classrooms by current members to receive their acceptance letters and were taken to the library to enjoy cake and beverages provided by the advisors, English teacher, Samantha Jordan and civics teacher, John Czech. At the ceremony, a speech was given by the current president, senior Curtis Mack, welcoming all of the new members and giving a introduction.

“Our first priority is helping the school and the community, so if that is what you would like to do you have come to the right place,” Mack said.

But this is only the beginning of their acceptance. On March 2, they will be inducted into NHS officially. At the induction ceremony, which will take place in the RHS auditorium, the advisors and members from NHS will welcome the new members in with a handshake and a certificate. Congratulations to all the new members of NHS.
