On Friday, April 21, RHS student assembly hosted a Spring pep assembly. As always, the assembly started with the band performing our fight song as the cheerleaders dancing beside them proudly.

To kick off the rally, the first game played was a Basketball shooting contest. This game was between all grades and teachers. Although it was close, Sophomores beat the teachers in the final round.

The next activity hosted by the student assembly members was Musical chairs. The game was filled with laughs and smiles, as well as some chairs getting pulled out from underneath each other. Social studies teacher, Zachary Rohde won it all in the end, hyping up the whole gym, ending in students chanting his name.

“My favorite part about the pep assembly was musical chairs because Mr. Rohde was so involved,” Jillian Wayne (11) said.

Throughout the assembly, Athletic director, Keith Marzec announced all the winter and spring sports teams, acknowledging the accomplishments made by each. The biggest acknowledgement that may have gone unheard was that Girls Bowling team won their division this year.

Ending the assembly, students volunteered to shove pie in teachers faces. This got the whole crowd involved once again, with nothing but smiles and laughs.
