Walter Filipiak is the new auto-shop teacher, but this is not his first time working with kids. He’s been coaching for seven years and has been in the auto field for 27 years. He even coaches at Allen Park along with coaching a travel team in his spare time. When he’s not coaching, he is spending time with his wife and two daughters.  

“My favorite thing to do is hang out with my wife and my daughters,” Filipiak said.  

So far, Filipiak is enjoying his time here and spending time with the students he hopes to inspire.  

“My goal is to help inspire the next generation.” Filipiak said.
