Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, professionally known as “Nicki Minaj” is a Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. She has rightfully earned the title “Queen of Rap”  considering the tremendous number of accomplishments she has made in her career. I discovered her music when I was 4 years old, and the “Pink Friday” album became #1 selling album in 2010. Theas a moment in my life where I felt as though the queen has inspired me to be a powerful and successful black woman because dreams have no limits. However, Minaj remains humble and never forgot where she comes from. She is queen for her pure intentions and uplifting of others.
