On Mar. 19, 2019, RHS kicked off their spring sports season with an informational meeting for student athletes and their parents. Coaches of each sport (J.V. and varsity) had attended, introducing the players of each sport to the attendees. Each student athlete went through the goals that they wanted to achieve in the upcoming season.

Christopher LaFeve, the athletic director for RHS, had gone through the rules and regulations of the season, touching on respect and being a good student first. He also mentioned the new fields being built during the spring season. The football field and track will be getting a brand new remodeling, having home girls’ soccer games at Veterans Memorial Park in Roseville and the home track meets to most likely be determined. The baseball and softball fields will continue this season on their regular fields; getting to see the progress of the new rebuilding as it’s happening.

Afterwards, the teams had split up with their individual coaches to discuss individual goals of the season. Schedules for teams, rules, and goals were discussed as well as potential fundraisers for tournaments. Many students are looking forward to the exciting season ahead, with even more exciting changes to the school’s athletic field itself. The official spring season will start with a girls’ soccer game at Almont High School on Wed, Mar. 20 at 4:30 P.M. followed by a girls’ softball game at Fitzgerald High School on Wed. Mar. 27 at 4:00 P.M.
