The Panthers continue their winning streak, defeating the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds on Tues., Dec. 11 with the final score being 73-57. Although the Panthers were not as explosive as in previous games, they still managed to move the ball and put points on the board. Senior Darian Banks led the team in scoring, dropping 17 points. Junior Martell Turner scored 11 points and obtained five assists, and 6’6 senior John Ukomadu once again showed his ability to be aggressive in the paint, grabbing 11 rebounds and getting four blocks.
“I feel that we came a long way from last year and that our team finally bought in and are trying to take it all the way for the first time,” Ukomadu said about the accomplishments of this year’s team.
