Thursday, Aug 23, the football team started off their season with a victory. Up against Delta Prep, the team won 18-6.

Junior D’lano Fordham had the only interception in the game. Senior Darrion Smith scored the first touchdown in the second quarter.

As the score was left at 8-0 during half-time, the dance team performed and made the crowd go wild with their moves, and the cheerleading squad performed stunts and cheers throughout the whole game.

In the third quarter, junior Davion Lowman scored the second touchdown of the game.

As the student section dressed in all neon, cheering for the Panthers, junior Javon Osterhout made a big play by doing a fake punt and running it for the first down and further.

The team celebrated their victory with a hand made slip-n-slide the following day.

“We lost a lot of our seniors which is hard because we are younger than most teams, but we still know how to get business done,” junior Akeel Ahmed said.
