The last event of the season
March 26, 2018
On Friday March 23, 2018, the cheer and dance teams had an eventful day, starting off with performing at Roseville Middle School, and ending the night here at RHS for cheer night.
The teams got on a bus to RMS, where they performed at their pep assembly hosted by RMS students. The cheer team performed their round two routine showing off their skills and what they can do. The dance team also showed off what they can do with a routine they have worked on specifically for this big day. After their dance, they passed out flyers inviting middle school students to the high school where they could watch what the teams were all about.
After returning from the middle school the teams enjoyed an end of the season dinner hosted by the school to thank the girls for their hard work. Then after dinner the girls had to set up for the night, rolling out the cheer mats and rehearsing their performances. Then the doors opened, and cheer night kicked off.
Many performances went on that night, including the elementary cheer team, the middle school cheer team, our JV cheer team, our varsity sideline and competitive cheer teams, and the dance team. The elementary performed two cheers, with the help of their coach Kia Mann and assistant coach Emily Fox. The middle school performed their two rounds from past competitions. The JV team performed their competition cheer for round one. The varsity team performed the most with their sideline cheer, then they did their round one and two cheers. For the final performance, they did a routine with some of the football players. Also, the dance team performed what they have been working on all year. Since they did not get to go to any competitions this year, they performed two dances that they have been working on since the season started.
“I had an amazing time doing what I love in front of everyone.” Sophomore Hannah Hogan said.
