Student Athlete of the Month

The fall sports seasons are soon to conclude as the end of the month draws near. Through the progression of the season, students get opportunities to shine on and off the field.

One of the many athletes that has stood out at RHS is junior Natalie Terry-Martin.

Terry-Martin is a member of NHS, jazz band, color guard, marching band, and is the vice president of Student Assembly. Terry-Martin is ranked number one in her class academically, and also holds an astounding 4.314 GPA. Martin puts herself to the challenge by taking AP Composition, psychology, and chemistry.

“To be a student athlete means to be a good example for the school, and to keep your grades up so that you’re eligible to play,” Martin said.

Martin has been playing volleyball since she was the age of nine, and found her passion watching her older sister play when she was younger. She started out at the Roseville Recreation Center and made her way to middle school volleyball. Now she is one of the varsity volleyball captains here at RHS. She plays all around the court, but her main position is Libero, which whom passes to the setter off of serves and spikes. Martin plans on attending the University Of Michigan when she graduates, and will plan to study to be a pediatric surgeon.
