On Thursday, your varsity lady panthers earned the MAC silver championship against Madison Heights Eagles winning 54-45. The team is going 8-1 in their division, but 10-5 overall. The only loss the ladies have had in their division was against St. Clair, but soon prowled past them 51-28 later on in the year.

One of the most important parts of the championship season was their deep bench.  Key players such as sophomores CheParis Mobley,  Jo’el Stump, and Maia Newberry provided the team with solid defense.

“It feels amazing to accomplish the goal we set in the beginning of the season and it is awesome to feel accomplished,” junior Samantha Averitt said.
