2017 New Year’s Resolutions are approaching

The New Year is quickly nearing, and the holiday season is already in full effect. Some people have already started reevaluating their life decisions. Well, now is the time to sit and make a list of notable resolutions that are easy to stick to.

“The biggest new year resolution for 2017 is to procrastinate less and be more productive with my time,” senior Jada Simmons said.

A New Year’s resolution is a tradition, in which a person makes a promise to do an act of self improvement  or something slightly nice, such as opening doors for people beginning after the new year. Resolutions can be hard to stick to, but having a partner may keep you consistent with the improvement(s) you want to make.

When people think about the new year, they think of a fresh start, and how they can make the new year better than the previous one. A few resolution ideas for students include: being more productive, getting involved more in school, expanding your vocabulary, drinking more water, and making healthier choices, and even working or reading more books.

“After the new year, I want to find myself, and be genuinely happy. Also, I want to experience new things like traveling to different places I’ve never been,” junior Thaniah Washington said.
