Roseville began the holiday season this past Thursday with the 30th annual tree lighting and sing-a-long. The cold, rainy weather did not stop residents from gathering together and enjoying seasonal fun. Before the tree was lit, Santa was escorted by the fire department, children took photos with Olaf and Anna, as well as roasted s’mores by the fire.
“ Being with my friends and going to the tree lighting is an annual tradition and I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with them this year,” junior Haley Harting said.
After the festivities began and family and friends gathered for their favorite activities, hot cocoa as well as donuts, were served and music began to ring through the streets. As children waited to meet Santa they had the opportunity to decorate Christmas trees.
