Roseville’s varsity football team finished off the season losing to Warren Woods Tower, 38-30. The season was filled with a couple blow-outs and dramatic finishes. They played solid defense to beat Lakeview, blew through East Detroit, but could not win at homecoming against Cousino.

“It (the season) was very exciting and fun,” coach Melvin Richendollar said.

The last game on Friday, Oct. 24 against WWT was crushing, as the Panthers were winning 30-8 at halftime and had great performances all around, but it did not last long.  30 unanswered points were scored in the second half . It was difficult, but it gives next year’s team room for redemption. The loss gave them a 3-6 record on the year, and a 2-3 division record.

Although there are  many players on the team worth mentioning, including: quarterback Evan Gates, wide receiver Jerry Battle, and linebacker Andrew Paton.

Work hard, stay fit, and be winners! Let’s hope the losses fuel the fire for next year’s squad, and the wins keep the confidence up.
