For the past 11 months, the varsity football team has been working nonstop chasing to be great for the upcoming season. With new and young talent, the Panthers every week suited up ready to compete. With me being the new starting QB of the team, I faced many challenges but was always uplifted by my teammates, coaches, and the Roseville community.
The team has had many ups and downs finishing with a 4-5 regular season record, but despite the wins and losses the Panthers came together to get ready for round one of playoffs against Grosse Pointe South. With previous history against this team, we knew that the focus level had to be on point. On Saturday, Nov 1st, 2025, the game started and the GPS team jumped out on us with a 21-0 lead in just the first quarter. With a late 2nd quarter touchdown from me, we went into halftime down 21-7.
After some time and adjustments, we came out of half-time dominating scoring 3 more touchdowns from Milton Standifer IV, but unfortunately, fell short losing the game by just one point with the final score being 28-27. We might not have had the best record, but I am forever grateful for the new bonds and life lessons I have learned over these past 4 years, and I would not have done it with any other group of guys. Thank you, Roseville football, you will always be a part of me.
