On Jan. 20, 2023, at Roseville High school, athletes, coaches, and families gathered outside the lower FLEX lab to celebrate a momentous occasion. The school’s star athlete, Paige Guinn, was officially signing to play college softball at Schoolcraft college. “I decided on Schoolcraft because it seemed like a perfect fit for me not just athletically but academically,” Guinn said.

The athletic director and coach spoke about Paige’s dedication, hard work, and leadership on and off the field. They praised her ability to inspire and motivate her teammates, and her determination to always improve. They also acknowledged the impact she had on the school’s softball program, like when she hit two Grand Slam balls in two games.

As Paige sat at the table, the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. She smiled and thanked everyone for their support throughout her high school career. She expressed her excitement for the opportunity to continue playing softball at the next level and for the chance to represent her school and community. “The coaches and players were so nice and welcoming. Schoolcraft really felt like home,” Guinn said.

After the speeches, Paige officially signed her letter of intent, surrounded by her family and coaches. The crowd cheered again.

As the ceremony ended, Paige thanked everyone once again and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to continue playing the game she loves. She promised to work hard, stay focused, and make the most of this opportunity. And with that, the crowd dispersed, excited to see what the future holds for Paige and her athletic journey.
