On Wednesday, Feb. 27, the boys defeated the Lakeshore Shorians with a final score of 54-43 as part of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) district game.

After not playing the previous week against Lakeview, Junior Martell Turner showed his ability to take over the court in close game situations, dropping 24 points overall.

The Panthers found themselves down by one at the half of this district game and knew they had to come out with new energy to take over the game and secure the win. They did exactly that and took over on offense, finding themselves in the lead by the end of the third quarter. The boys held the lead for the remainder of the game and showed their ability to maintain exciting energy even while holding the lead.

Next, they will play Fraser for the final round of the MHSAA districts on Friday, March 1.
