Choir and band perform annual holiday concert

Dazzle preforming “All I Want For Christmas Is You”

On Thurs. Nov. 29, the band and choir hosted their annual holiday concert. Multiple groups performed many different songs. The event started at 7 pm and took place at Roseville Middle School.

Jazz Band started off the night by playing multiple songs, including “Greensleeves” by Peter Hollens and “O Christmas Tree” by Ernst Anschühz Next up was the Treble Choir; they sang songs like “We Need a Little Christmas” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Shortly after, the freshmen band played the “Polar Express” by Tom Hanks. Then, the symphonic choir played “O Holy Night” by Placide Cappeau and “The Very Best Time of the Year” by John Rutter.

A few minutes later, Marching Band filled the audience playing “Christmas Parade Sequence” by Paul Lavender and Will Rapp. Band director Daniel Chesher and choir director Kristina Collins performed a duet. To top that off, Varsity Band played “The Nutcracker” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Lastly, to end the night, Marching Band filled the audience, and everyone else gathered on stage to perform “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” by Bing Crosby, ending the concert.
