Junior Chloe LeBlanc swimming backstroke in the 200 IM

Tuesday, Oct 16, girls varsity swim won 110-45 against South Lake. The meet started off with the 200 medley relay where the A team came in second place. Junior Mackenzie Smith and one of the South Lake girls were neck in neck until the last second of the race, but she still swam her best.

During the 200 freestyle, junior Lexie Sysacure got second and senior Caitlin Michael got third place. In the 200 IM, junior Abby Barnett won first place. Also, in the 50 free, juniors Kara Lightfoot and Nicole Powers came in second and third.

In the 100 freestyle, junior Kayla Kornelson won first place. The 500 freestyle was a huge success for the team because Barnett and Sysacure came in first and second.

After that came the 200 free relay, where Roseville took the lead by being the only team swimming in that race.

Next came the 100 backstroke, where Michael came in first and Lightfoot came in second. During the 100 breastroke, the team were the only ones competing, and Kornelson won first place.

The 400 free relay was the last event. The A team won first place, ending the night with a huge success.

The night ended with the team celebrating over Subway sandwiches and pasta salad. The next meet is on Tuesday, Oct 23 against Cousino.
