Detroit Lions make a game to remember

An astounding game had taken place Sunday, Sep. 23 on Ford Field. The Detroit Lions had taken on the New England Patriots in the 47th game of the 2018-2019 NFL season. Lions fans were amazed at the final score being 10-26 with the Lions winning. The Patriots have a reputation of being a tough team to beat; with making it all the way to the 2018 Super Bowl.

Even though New England had taken a loss, Tom Brady had 14 for 26 passing for 133 yards, according to detroitfreepress.com. For the Lions, highlights of the offense have been noticed left and right. Rookie tailback #33 Karryon Johnson rushed for 101 yards in 16 carries. Throughout the game, the Lion’s offense had pushed through with wide receiver  #15 Golden Tate II making a ground-breaking pass completion from Matthew Stafford. Tight end #82 Luke Wilson had also made some pass completions to help Detroit with the win. Another amazing highlight was cornerback #23 Darius Slay’s interception against New England’s offense, according to sportingnews.com.

The record for New England and Detroit is both one win and two losses. The next game for the Lions is Sunday Sep. 30 at 1:00 p.m. Detroit will be going against the Dallas Cowboys at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas.
