This season, the Roseville varsity soccer team has been working hard to show what they have got against teams near and far. Many games that end with the score being 0-0 and end up being boring, but the Roseville vs. Port Huron game on Monday Sep. 18 was a completely different one. Due to an injury, senior and team captain Ryan Shiemke could not participate in this game.

“They all played hard and I wish I was on the field with them.” Shiemke said.

Senior and goalie Matthew Dutkiewicz had dominated the game with a penalty kick save and multiple other saves throughout the game. According to senior and player Joe Zerilli, the team had played the game really well as a whole.

Many amazing defensive plays where made in the last few minutes, leaving the game in suspense. Dutkiewicz had also made a play that highlighted the entire game with a save using his face.

“Last night’s game was a tough one. It felt like a battle. Port Huron was a very difficult team to face.” said Dutkiewicz.
