On April 21, our school’s track team competed in the Invitationals. They competed against 11 Schools such as: Clawson, East Detroit, Ferndale A, Ferndale B, Fitzgerald, Hazel Park, Madison, Lamphere, Mt. Clemens, South Lake A,and South Lake B.And took home the first place trophy. The boys and girls of our track team performed exceptionally and worked hard to do their best. All the long hours of pushing themselves to the limit really payed off when the boys won first place. “I am so happy we won and so far, if we keep up the good work, we can win majority of our meets,” junior Brenner Norman said. On April 24, our Junior Varsity baseball team played against Southlake in their fourth game of the season. So far, the boys are seeing a bright future for their season.   It is a big year for juniors. When you go into your junior year you have to take the SAT. The SAT is a standardized test that is used for college admissions in the U.S. and is owned by College Board. Before 2016, the SAT was not aligned with high school curriculum. In 2016, the test was adjusted to fit the curriculum the students learn through their high school years. The test measures the literacy and writing skills that are needed to be successful in college.       Get ready for an exciting day on Friday. The lip dub is a compilation of music you can jam out to with your friends. It is organized by the drama class and yearbook, and will take place tomorrow, Friday, March 31, before spring break. It will be filmed by RHS 2016 graduate Johnny Mitchell, during 5th and 6th hour with the extension of “travelling days” for certain clubs or groups, which are yet to be determined.   There have been many wins recently for our school. Our sports teams, auto shop and art students, and even clubs have all added some wins to their repertoire. On Friday, March 10, the Environthon Club competed with other schools on their knowledge of the environment. Environthon is a club that studies different things about the environment and how to help it. The club has four members: senior Joe Kovalchick, juniors Kyle Rumer and Philip Longueuil, and seventh grader Nolan Richendollar. The club meets every Tuesday in science teacher Melvin Richendollar’s room to study for the competition. The team has won in recent years, but have not made it to nationals. Earlier this week, Jan.31,the Panthers swim team tied with Warren Mott High School to end Tuesday's meet with a score of 85 to 85. This is the first tie of the season, and gives the boys that extra push to finish off the season. The team expected it to be a close meet, but not that close. Well the boys started off by not scoring too well in the first two events, which are the 200 yard medley relay and the 200 yard freestyle.           Roseville is home to multiple different people with amazing talents. Our school acknowledges them and tries to give everyone opportunities to show it. Whether it is singing, band, dance, sports or art, everyone can  take classes to enhance that talent or enter competitions.             Jessica Near is a senior artist at our school. Last Thursday, Dec. 1, our choir and band hosted their annual Christmas concert. They performed a variety of Christmas songs, whether they were old or new, vocal or instrumental.
