After winning the first round of the MAC tournament against Lincoln, girls’ varsity basketball moved on to play Warren Woods Tower. WWT came out strong in the first minute, but Roseville came back to end the first quarter 25-12. Strong defense by the Panthers helped shut down WWT to end the game 62-30. Senior Nija Collier and sophomore De’Braya Edwards both put up 16 points.  Senior Chantae Parker grabbed 11 rebounds and five steals, and also had great passing.

The girls’ varsity basketball team is moving on to the championship game in the MAC tournament Saturday, Feb. 18 against St. Clair at Dakota High School. Come out and support your Panthers!

“I am walking out of there (Saturday) with a title with my team. We faced them (St. Clair), and they were our only loss but we came back and beat them the next time. We are going to beat them again this time,” sophomore Che’Paris Mobley said.
